Ghana Black Stars Coach Sacks Kevin Prince Boateng & Sulley Muntari From Camp

AC Milan star Sulley Muntari and Shalke 04 playmaker Kevin Prince Boateng have been sacked from the Ghana World Cup team by head coach James Kwasi Appiah, Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.

The two have been embroiled in extreme indiscipline and been involved in troublesome acts at the teams' camps in Brazil and the coach now feels the two stars would be a distraction to the team with their continuous stay.

Muntari is alleged to have slapped a member of the Ghana National Team's management committee by name Moses Armah and even chased him with broken bottles at the hotel over disagreements with appearance fees and other bonuses owed the players.

Kevin, who returned from a premature international retirement few months to the World Cup is believed to have had several altercations with the head coach of the team at the training grounds.

The former AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspurs star publicly criticized the managers' formation and selection in the opening Group G loss to USA in Natal.

Muntari and Boateng were served with their letters early on Thursday morning and asked to get ready for their departure from the camp.

It was the proverbial final nail in the coffin in the international career of a player whose name has gone hand in hand with controversy. And now the Ghana Football Association is determined to act once and for all.

And with that game out of the way, the Milan star will in all likelihood may have played his final game in a Ghana shirt.

He was saved the sack from Black Stars duty at the 2010 world cup after players stepped in on his behalf after persistently challenging the authority of Milovan Rajevac in South Africa.

Boateng has been a major problem for Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah at the tournament arguing over everything from hotels to questioning every decision at training.

On the morning of his massive confrontation with Appiah, Kevin Prince Boateng told him in front of the players he had benched him while others played “stupid football.”

R. Kelly’s Transgender Son: Glad His Dad Finally Knows The Truth

R&B singer R. Kelly’s daughter, Jaya, has bravely came out on social media to tell the world she’s now a transgender boy. Jaya — who now goes by the name Jay — has received support from his mom, Drea Kelly, but his dad’s response has been unsupportive.

R. Kelly, 37, isn’t taking the news well that his daughter is now a transgender boy. After the R&B singer had a less-than-thrilling public response to his 13-year-old daughter now going by the name Jay and identifying as a boy, Jay is boldly speaking up about his dad’s lack of support.

Jay Kelly On Dad R.Kelly’s Response: Transgender Son Glad He Knows Truth

Jay isn’t upset that his dad is aware that he’s now a boy. When asked “You mad your dad knows?” on Q&A website ask.fm, Jay simply responded with: “Nope.” Good for him! We’re happy that Jay’s not letting his famous father’s lack of support bring him down.

On the same site, Jay also opened up with other details about his transition into becoming a boy. When asked if his mom, Drea Kelly, refers to him as a boy, Jay responded with “Yep.” Jay also said he ignores questions about his famous father “most of the time” and doesn’t think of himself as a celebrity.

Considering Jay is only 13, under a major microscope AND receiving little support from his dad, the teen is handling all of this pressure and attention SO well. We’re proud of Jay for being so open, honest and brave!

What do you think about Jay?

R.Kelly: Don’t Refer To My Transgender Son As A Male

After Jay’s brave confession, his dad has said some shocking remarks. When asked about his daughter’s transformation into a boy, the R&B star said to WGCI: “You don’t really wanna open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son, because if that were true… Don’t even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I’m saying? Real talk.” Heartbreaking.

Beyoncé And Jay Z On Tour

Well, it took them long enough.

Nearly 12 years after releasing debut collaboration ‘03 Bonnie and Clyde, music’s unstoppable couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z, are embarking on their first joint tour, hitting 16 cities this summer and launching tonight in Miami.

It’s the perfect move for the dynamic duo, who are behind two of last year’s most-talked-about albums: Beyoncé’s celebrated, self-titled surprise release (2 million copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan), and Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, given away to 1 million Samsung Galaxy users (2.2 million copies, 1 million of them purchased by Samsung).

And with one of spring’s biggest songs in duet Drunk in Love and stories about them and young daughter Blue Ivy flooding the media, America’s love affair with these prominent parents doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

“People are definitely infatuated with them as a power couple,” says Chuck Creekmur, CEO of AllHipHop.com. “A lot of people look at them as a royal family of sorts … a fairy tale coming true.”

But will their On the Run tour be a storybook success? Reports surfaced last week that the stadium show wasn’t selling well. Live Nation has debunked those rumors, telling Billboard the tour has sold $86 million in tickets.

“If ticket sales don’t reach expectations, it will be viewed as negative, but they played it safe here,” says Yahoo Music senior editor Billy Johnson Jr. “There aren’t a million dates for this stretch,” but they could just be doing a “soft run to see how it goes, and then gauge their next steps. It’s strategic and smart.”

Those are two adjectives regularly applied to the business-savvy pair, whose innovative album releases were hailed as game-changers in the music industry. But others have faltered in trying to replicate their success: Skrillex and Kid Cudi released unannounced albums this spring with middling results (Skrillex’s Recess sold 111,000 copies; Cudi’s Satellite Flight sold 108,000).

“There aren’t many artists (whose album) you’re just going to spend $16 on,” says Vulture senior editor Amanda Dobbins. “It takes a huge amount of celebrity and success to pull that off.”

Pop divas Rihanna and Madonna would have the wattage, but they “pride themselves on being original and trend-setters, so it wouldn’t look good to follow Beyoncé,” Creekmur says.

“They always set the bar really high,” he says. “Even with streaming and pirated music more prevalent than ever, they’ve still been able to move units, keep people excited about their music and keep that megastar status.

“There’s only a few that can do it like Jay Z and Beyoncé.”

Juliet Ibrahim Divorced

http://www.celebrities-newsblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/juliet-ibrahim-divorced.html

Juliet Ibrahim, a household name in African cinema, has ended her marriage with Israel Kwadwo Sarfo Jnr, a pilot and son of Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo, the founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Church, according to reports reaching  NEWS-ONE.

Though Juliet has consistently denied the reports of her divorce, a couple of big names within Ghana’s entertainment industry say she has confirmed to them in private that they started having problems two years ago and are finally divorced.

Other reports said she has started dating a popular showbiz personality in Nigeria.

Ghanaelebrities.com also reported that the actress had confirmed the divorce: “Juliet Ibrahim has found it necessary to let her fans know today that she is no more married to Kwadwo Sarfo—and the marriage ended some time ago, she confirmed this to GhanaCelebrities.Com.

The issue was also discussed on Peace Fm Entertainment Review last Saturday during which the editor for Razz, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, said he felt vindicated because when his paper broke the news of Juliet’s divorce, she vehemently denied it and accused the paper of fabrication.

Though no official reason has been given for the divorce, reports said that Juliet was always on set outside Ghana and did not have time for the husband.

Other reports also said it had to do with roles she played in a couple of movies.

In a 2010 interview with NEWS-ONE, Juliet said her husband was neither perturbed nor jealous about her roles, especially kissing role in the movies.

“He is ok, he understands me because he himself is an entertainment person, so he understands. Just that, for me personally, I don’t fancy this screen deep and wet kissing. I am not for it. I don’t want to get into it because of the spread of disease these days. I have stopped kissing long ago after my first movie ‘Crime To Christ’. But my guy is in total support of what role I play,” said the erstwhile model.

Juliet Ibrahim began her career as a model from 2004.

She started primary and secondary education in Ivory Coast and Lebanon. Later she moved to Ghana for her tertiary education at the Ghana Institute of Languages (GIL), where she once won the Miss GIL pageantry.

While at school she went on to model for Dolfins and Face-One Modelling Agency respectively.

She, however, stumbled into the Ghana movie industry in 2006 after she was called to play a role in ‘Crime to Christ’ after her first TV series.

Within a decade, Juliet has moved from a small role actress to one of Ghana’s most gifted talents and an enviable asset to the Africa movie industry.

She now produces her own movies after playing lead role in several award-winning movies.

I’m Best African Rapper – Says E.L

http://www.celebrities-newsblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/im-best-african-rapper-says-el.html

Ghanaian rapper and singer E.L. has declared himself the “Best African Rapper” and says the title was inspired by the name of his upcoming ‘B.A.R Concert’ scheduled for Saturday, July 19 at Alliance Francaise in Accra.

The rapper explained the rationale behind the ‘B.A.R. Concert’ to NEWS-ONE  and said he was about to go live with the concert, which would witness performances from the likes of Joey B, Manifest, Ko-Jo Cue, Sarkodie, Lil Shaker, Edem, Stargo, C Real, Dex Kwesi, Gemini, PK and many more.

What is the B.A.R. Concert all about?

It is a concert in an attempt to give hip-hop artistes in Ghana a platform for them to be recognised. It is to give an opportunity to as many hip-hop artistes as possible, both known and underground, to have a stage to shine.

Would it be in the form of a battle?

No there are no battles. We have not scheduled battles at this point in time. It would be back-to-back uninterrupted performances with just a few pauses in between. It would be back-to-back just as you have a DJ spinning back-to-back sounds but this time it would be the real artistes doing it on stage.

How do you select the artistes?

In my line of business I come across several artistes each and every day so I am able to sieve through them to know who has potential and who does not. Believe you me, there are many serious artistes out there making serious efforts to be recognised on a more commercial level and on a bigger platform.

Why B.A.R.?

B. A. R. means Best African Rapper. I consider myself the best African rapper taking into consideration a lot of things. But if I say it, it would be like I am blowing my horn. So when people ask me why I’m saying that, I just direct them to my mixtapes.

They should just listen to my mixtapes and 99 percent of the time, they concede to the fact that I might just be the best African rapper.

So at the end of the day, this is not just a statement I am making because statements can be wrong. This is not a claim I am making; it is just something I know about myself. And there is no other side to truth. This is the truth and I am saying it.

When would the concert take place?

Saturday July 19 and we are actually planning to make it an annual thing. There are a whole lot of things we are planning to fix into one whole year at BBnZ. We have the Big Weekend Festival, EL and Friends Concert, and all. I also have an album coming out as well.

Would this be your second album?

Yes. ‘Something Else’ was my first album and that was two years ago. So two years later, ‘ELORM’ is coming out and ‘ELORM’ is an acronym for Every Body Loves Original Music and it is my name as well. I hope to announce the date before October. I am still recording it.

The competition keeps getting tougher. How are you coping?

Well, the market changes. It is a very unpredictable platform and that is what I have come to learn as an artiste. So it is up to an artiste to learn this and the tempo at which it is changing. I have been quiet for a couple of months now not because of the competition per say but there are other things that I have been working on.

Competition is there but if I want to drop a song and make noise today, I would be able to do it. I am in the position to release a song right now and people would make a lot of noise about it.

The challenge is how long that noise would be sustained and how long it would last. So I am planning and taking my time so I have the best effect when I drop my songs and I would be dropping one soon.  What is actually happening is that I have the songs but I am trying to do the video before I drop the song.

Yaa Pono Steals Song On BBC

Yaa Pono is being accused of taking credit for a song titled ‘I Dey Feel You Die’; a song which does not belong to him.

The ‘Amen’ crooner has reportedly told the BBC that the song belongs to him but a statement by a certain Suburban Records yesterday said Yaa is not the copyright owner of the song.

“We would like the general public to know Yaa Pono does not own ‘I Dey Feel You Die’ as he claimed in his interview with BBC’s Rita Ray. ‘I Dey Feel You Die’ was penned by Syn, the lead vocalist of Faint Medal and was produced by Kilo, and featured Yaa Pono.

“Faint Medal started working on the song with Kyekyeku and the plan was to put Sarkodie on it but Kilo, who was heavily linked with Yaa Pono, asked us to feature Yaa Pono and we agreed,” the label said.

“After the record was done, it sounded great and Faint Medal thought about a joint album with Yaa Pono but that never materialised because his label never gave Faint Medal a contract. They have performed the song with Yaa Pono severally but has never handed the song to him, so to hear him on BBC Global Beats claiming ownership of the song shocked us.”

‘I Dey Feel You Die’ was recorded in late 2011 and released in 2012 and the still video on Youtube has about 3000 views now.

“Our attention has been drawn to a hijack of not only the song title but also the entire production which Yaa Pono revealed he was going to release later this year.

“We wish to inform the world that Dark Suburb will be releasing this song in a few weeks. We bought the song from Faint Medal and re-recorded it and currently working on the video too,” Manager Joseph Marshall Agyepong added.
