I Will Repeat My Dress -Yvonne Okoro

No nonsense actress Yvonne Okoro has vented her spleen at those involved in the brouhaha over her recent ‘repeated dress’, saying, “I will repeat my dress.”

Yvonne last week repeated a yellow Karen Millen modern tribal dress she wore in August 2012 at Showbiz Honours on a movie set in Nigeria.

Subsequent media reports claimed that the actress decided to repeat the dress because “she is broke.”

But the beautiful award-winning actress described the claims as “unintelligent and childish.”

She said she found it difficult to comprehend how “any learned person” would think that repeating a dress determined one’s bank account.

“I will repeat my dress any time I want to. I don’t owe anybody any explanation. Billionaires and millionaires all over the world can repeat dresses and its fine but we can’t. Who is arresting me for doing so? The inspector dress or the FBI of clothes?” Yvonne Okoro made a fun of her critics when NEWS-ONE contacted her yesterday.

Earlier, she took to instargram react to the claims, advising young girls, “…if it looks that good let no one tell you, you can’t wear more than once. Bring back our girls to reality.”

She also denied claims about how she acquired her Mercedes Benz.

I don't know why when people become soo much interested in the life of celebrities and always trying to make a story that will catch the media which is never true. I don't think that is the work of the media and the entire freelancing world, if you don't have anything to report on then just keep shut...

Samini did Not Win Any 'Best International Act' Award

It has emerged Samini did not win the award for BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT at the Black Canadians Awards held in Canada last weekend, contrary to an earlier report.

Saminis’ team had relied on series of press publications on the subject, and came to the conclusion that their act had won.

However further checks reveal the award went to Trinidad and Tobagao’s Destra Garcia. The category also had Nigeria’s Waje, South Africa’s Lira and Khuli Chana as well as the Bajan female Soca act Alsion Hinds as contenders.

One, Julz of GhanaMixtapes, who was at the event and had relayed the information to the press, has since taken to Twitter to apologize to Samini.

Samini has accepted his apology, saying “blunders do happen.” “Maybe I should have waited to see confirmation on the BCA site.”

I earlier reported that Samini has won the best International Act at the Canadians Awards held in Canada but that report I have puled it down and it's not true as confirmed by himself.

There’s something to be tall for - EL

http://celebrities-newsblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/theres-something-to-be-tall-for-el.html
There is something appealing about tall men and Hiphop musician E.L is one person who can vouch for that.

He has revealed to Showbiz how his height played a role in winning his heartthrob and how he feels flattered anytime women admire his height.

“I met my girlfriend in a club and she told me later that while the dancing and fun was going on, I stood out. I was the only person she was seeing because of my height”, he said.

“If you look at couples, you find that most men are taller than their women. It turns out that height, like many other factors, depends on the individual and their own physical characteristics and what they’re looking for in a mate and if she found that in me and deemed it right to accept my proposal then its cool” he added.

According to the six-foot-six man, it is not only his woman who is attracted to his height.  “I get this attention almost every day but I make sure it ends there even though on the contrary, I think accepting someone’s proposal should go beyond physique.

I think a woman feels more feminine when the guy is much taller than her, he towers over her and sometimes it's more about the way he makes her feel than the way he looks”, he said.

“I believe that women want men who loom over them because it conforms to gender stereotypes and makes them feel protected and secure”.

On a lighter note, he said his height has not been a barrier at all when he wants to get intimate with his woman. “Whenever we kiss, we meet each other half way. Dating someone who is tall is not as difficult as people perceive it”.

On the negative side, E.L said that he finds it difficult buying the right clothes because of his height. “Because I am tall, most of my trousers tend to  hang and so I find it difficult getting all my clothes from Ghana and therefore I do a lot of online shopping.”

E.L. real name Elorm Adablah grew up in Dansoman, Accra. His interest in music production began at a young age. He started rapping in JSS (Martin de Porres School and Jack and Jill Secondary School), was making beats by Senior Secondary School (Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School), and often skipped classes while at the university to record songs in his bedroom.
